THE SECOND HALF OF MY REVIEW----
so 2 weeks later i get a cheque in teh mail from my insurance provider, wierd I never got them at the last place I went to, they always went straight to them. So I go to the dentist to give it to them, and she says i owe 42 dollars, the polishing and floride was not covered.
WHAT?! I asked her to preauth it, she said she called and 'asked permission' and the person on teh phone said ok.
I asked if that counts as an ACTUAL pre-auth, and she said well no..
So, it turns out i was one month to early for the cleaning and neither the dentist or receptionist nor the insurance company caught on. So when I told them straight out I wasn't paying for anything that wasn't covered she said thats my problem and handed me the bill.
Don't ever go to this establishment, they only want your money, they don't care about your comfort or your time, THIS SIMPLE CLEANING TOOK 3 HOURS DUE TO THEM CONSTANTLY LEAVING ME SITTING IN THE CHAIR... AND WAITING.
stay away....

I hate my new dentist. I don't hate much in life, but this establishment deserves the worst rating in the rating book!
I went to the Abbotsford Village dental center on sumas, Kyle I Nawrot... The first thing I Noticed apon going into their establishment was the waiver stating that all bills are MY responsibility and not theirs. I almost didn't sign that right from the get go, got in an argument with the secretary and a fellow patron and decided to just sign it and go on with the proceedure.
I told the lady behind the desk, I WANT NOTHING DONE THAT IS NOT PRE-AUTHORIZED. NOTHING.
So, I go in for my first meeting there, and the scaler is BRUTAL. Old school poky objects and no sonic love. She's fast and furious with that poker and none the nice about it. Reminded me of being a child again, how horrible their bedside manner was back then. You would think someone would have learned, or been ousted from this type of work for that continued trend.
After a while of her scraping my teeth, I had VERY VERY LITTLE build up of anything, she was astonished for the fact i was a new patient, I went to the next chair.
A dentist assistant came over and started to polish and floride my mouth, no choices. The last dentist i went to had the most beautiful assistant I had ever seen, and she gave me choices of tastes and flavors... HELLO... skimping on the looks, the happiness (this lady was rude, condesending and blunt about not caring what anyone thought about her behaviors) and no choices!... ok? where's the selling feature? Its a necessary evil to need a dentist? ... sure is, but I don't need this one!
she did my xrays put them in to process and comes back and starts to polish.
so ... half way through my polishing she gets up and leaves, leaves me sitting there for 13 minutes, comes back and says she had to do something else. I'm like uhm, CUSTOMER HERE what the hell.. So after another 10 minutes the dentist calls her and AGAIN she ups and leaves, right in the middle of working on the last side of my mouth.
What the hell? Short staffed or just ignorant? This place is stinking of somewhere that just wants your money and doesn't give a crap about the customer.
She comes back and finishes, the dentist comes over looks at the new xrays says its to bad i don't have any cavities, HELLO?!, and then says he recommends i spend a few thousand dollars to fix my teeth...
what, you think I LIKE my teeth? They have been the bane of my existance long enough. Again even the dentist really had no bedside manners, to the point, factual and inpersonal. Once he uttered the last word and I declined, he walked off back to the other side, not even saying ANYTHING, im like wow...
so 2 weeks later i get a cheque in teh mail from my insurance provider, wierd I never got them at the last place I went to, they always went straight to them. So I go to the dentist to give it to them, and she says i owe 42 dollars.. to long for here
